As a disabled musician, diversity, equality and inclusion in traditional music is a topic that Grace is very passionate about.
North Atlantic Sing Convention, 2023
In 2023, Grace shared her thoughts on the subject on a panel at the North Atlantic Song Convention. The discussion spread over a variety of matters, from representation on and off the stage to venue accessibility, and really only just scrapped the surface of potential future discussions that ought to be had.
Grace was delighted and honoured to have been invited to speak at NASC and welcomed the opportunity to have these much need and interesting chats. She brought her own unique perspective and balance to the discussion by highlighting that, while the world is far from perfect, it is important to remember and recognise all the good stuff. On the whole, Grace has found the traditional music world to be very welcoming, accommodating and full of lovely people and she would not be where she is today if it weren't for the kindness of others.
